SHB6100 Works with iPhone 3.1

I love my Philips headset, I used to use it with my nokia all the time. Alas even with bluetooth my iPhone has never been able to use them. With the advent of 3.0 I was promised AD2P, but again my hopes were dashed when they didn’t work due to a protocol issue apparently. Finally my dreams of listening to music wirelessly have come to fruition with the advent of iPhone 3.1.

The Philips SHB6100 and I suspect all the SHB models will now work with the iPhone as a music player. Just connect them and you’re good to go. Not only that, but the volume, play / pause all work for me now too (skip buttons are no good) as well as answering calls and of course talking.

So if you’ve been hanging out for the iPhone to start working with this truly quality bluetooth headset, wait no longer.

I have the same headset, and am very happy to have it working with 3.1. My track skip buttons don't work though...

I have ipod touch with 3.1 OS update installed and just bought Philips SHB6100 and alas they don't work- won't pair. If anyone can help- much appreciated.

Hey Sandra,

Assuming your headset works, you have to hold down the power button (from off) until the LED flashes red and green. Then it should appear as a device to pair, the code will me 0000.

If that doesn't work, I'd be taking it back or checking the bluetooth of your phone.

Cheers

Thanks Daniel
I had tried that following the instructions that came with the headphones- and did what you said earlier today with no luck. Just tried again now and it worked- I'm connected!!! Thanks heaps

Looks like I'm mistaken about the skip buttons, they don't work for me. Sorry about that.
